CAUGHT MID-CHEW!
The Menu Tonight:
Haystacks
Estimated time:
15 minutes
Haystacks
This one’s easy! In fact, it’s the recipe I pull out when I’m not in the mood for cooking. Also, it includes most of your food groups, so there’s no need for another course. These haystacks are delicious and filling.
Tortilla Chips, Doritos, or Fritos
1 can Refried Beans and 1 can Pinto beans (mixed and heated over the stove)
Cheese
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Black Olives
Sour Cream
Salsa
1. Chop all the ingredients into small pieces and place into separate bowls.
2. Set the ingredients out buffet style and have everyone serve themselves! (I like to serve them in this order… Chips on the bottom, then hot beans over top, then the cheese (so that it melts), lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, sour cream, and salsa… But you can do it however you would like).
TOTAL PRICE ESTIMATE FOR THE NIGHT SERVING 5:
$ 3.97 (That’s $ .79 a person!)

I've grown up on these and have ALSO had them at Kelsey's house, and testify that this recipe is a WONDERFUL way to please even the most picky appetites! You can chose what you put on it, and it a great meal.
ReplyDeleteLove the blog, Kels! ;)
